My one complaint is that one of the sandals has very rough stitching right at the cut-out portion behind the ankle. The right shoe is fine and extremely comfortable, but the left shoe is stitched crookedly or something because I have extremely rough stitching rubbing against my ankle every time I move the left foot. I had to put a band-aid on my ankle before it started bleeding, and I will have to try to do something to soften that ankle cut-out. I really do not want another pair of sandals that I have to wear with socks! I guess a small flaw like this is something you can avoid by buying shoes in a store instead of online, and it's not bad enough to send it back, but it seems like something that should have been discovered by a quality control check. I mean, it's obviously designed with the ankle cut-out to have a very comfortable ankle experience with no chafing, and the rough/crooked stitching really defeats that purpose. (And since the other shoe is fine, I guess this is just a manufacturing defect in the left shoe.)
I have multiple problems with my feet (diabetic neuropathy, psoriatic arthritis, and hives) Being disabled, I was hesitant to spend so much on a single pair of shoes, but I needed some relief - just to walk. Sneakers are out of the question for me, because my toes and feet will burn and swell, so I needed something with (at least) an open toe.
After reading the rave reviews, I decided to buy a pair because I was going on a trip and walking was going to be required. The purchase went through without a hitch and arrived on time. I excitedly opened them and tried them on. They fit perfectly. At first they were a relief, then about an hour later, the pain began. I tried loosening the velcro straps, but they would not stay closed. OK, I can work with that, I thought. I took them to a local shoe repair shop where I was charged $25 to add more velcro so the straps would stay in place. It did help some, but then the straps began to chafe the top of my feet, cutting into the skin - NOT pleasant. I had no choice but to wear them on my trip - I had no other choice. I did add gel inserts for the ball of my foot and it did not make a difference.
Let me just say that the leather sides and back were very soft and flexible - they did not chafe or cause my heals/ankles to blister. However, the pain I experienced while walking was nothing short of excruciating. Hobbling along, I couldn't go sightseeing. Even sitting in a restaurant, I had to slip them off just to get some relief.
I wish I had a better experience, but sadly, they have been replaced by a $16 pair of sandals from Kmart. While they are not perfect, the pain has subsided enough for me to walk at least a short distance. I won't be buying another pair of Propet shoes or recommending them to anyone. If you choose to purchase these, I wish you the best. Many people love them. They just did not work for me.

- Open toe (closed toe shows cause uncomfortable tingling in her toes)
- Enclosed heel (she has a back leg brace to prevent her knee from buckling)
- Easy to take on/off herself (i.e. velcro - while she regained use of her left hand, it is very weak)
- Sturdy enough to be worn outdoors year round
This shoe met all of these needs. I do wish there were more styles to choose from but we've looked and failed to find an alternative. Anything else we've found are even less fashionable and much more expensive. She's been wearing these to go out of the house for over a year now so I'm ordering a second pair as a spare while still in stock as replacing these would be difficult.
That being said, would welcome any alternatives others have found that meet her needs. My mom still loves changing her outfits/accessories and it would be nice to extend her shoe wardrobe a bit.

Los pedí extra grandes y aunque sí son lo suficientemente anchos, las correas son tan pequeñas que no alcanzan a cerrar. Tuve que mandar aumentar 10 cm en la Correa de arriba y 5 cm en la de abajo.
