What Camp Grounds Give Senior Pass Discounts?

Senior citizens get discounts for all sorts of things—and outdoor adventures are included. If you have been looking for a sign to go on a rustic camping excursion, let this be it. Camp grounds and state parks across the US, from Oklahoma to California, have a number of great deals and discounts for senior citizens and disabled individuals. Here are some of them:

  • California State Parks has Limited Use Golden Bear Passes for individuals aged 62+. Cardholders and their registered domestic partners or spouses may use it to enter most California State Parks when it’s not peak season. 
  • Kansas State Parks offers discounted passes for vehicle entry for senior citizens and disabled individuals. 
  • New Jersey has park passes for senior citizens and disabled individuals. 
  • Illinois State Parks allows resident senior citizens to camp on some areas of their grounds for free from Mondays to Thursdays. Other sites offer them 50% off as well.
  • Indiana State Parks issues discounted annual passes for senior citizens.
  • Ohio State Parks offers discounts on camping fees for resident senior citizens who are Golden Buckeye cardholders.
  • South Carolina State Parks has Palmetto Passes, which senior citizens, disabled residents, and blind residents can avail of for half off on their park passports.
  • Louisiana State Parks has discounts for senior citizens for day-use entry in their parks. You may also get an additional 50% off if you have a National Parks Pass.
  • North Dakota State Parks has discounted annual passes for any of their state parks, specifically for residents who are either disabled or are senior citizens.
  • Oklahoma State Parks offers senior citizens discounts for overnight stays. If you are a resident senior citizen, then you will also receive free entry and day-use fees will be waived.
